The Professional Development badge provides an opportunity to develop professional skills to secure a job and get started off on the right foot after graduation.
Learning Outcomes:
Build a professional network of contacts within their desired industry, leading to potential job opportunities and career advancement.
Gain a deeper understanding of their career goals, strengths, and weaknesses, enabling them to make informed career decisions.
Develop the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully transition from academia to the professional world.
Assignment and Assessment:
Students must participate in a minimum of three activities from the recommended list provided and approved by the Ivy College of Business Undergraduate Career Services office.
Submit a 1-pg comprehensive reflection for each activity to be evaluated by business career services professional and earning a passing score.
Duration and Modality:
The learner completes 5 online modules, each consisting of 2-3 activities. This is can be completed within 1 academic year with the option to roll over to the following academic year if not completed during specified timeline.

The Gerdin Leaders Academy (GLA) is a program aimed at increasing the involvement of early program, transfer and/or international students in the Ivy College of Business led and managed through the Ivy College of Business Career Services office.
