The Service to Community badge allows students develop critical thinking, professional communication, and cultural competence through community volunteerism, fostering active citizenship and social responsibility. Guided by mentors, they engage in purposeful reflection to align their strengths with organizational needs and effectively collaborate in diverse settings.
Learning Outcomes:
Develop and apply leadership skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking in real-world service projects.
Develop strong relationships with community partners, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to civic engagement and social responsibility, resulting in their understanding of their role as global citizens.
Assignment and Assessment:
Students must participate in a minimum of two activities from the recommended list provided and approved by the Ivy College of Business Undergraduate Career Services office.
Submit a 1-pg comprehensive reflection for each activity to be evaluated by a business career services professional and earn a passing score.
Duration and Modality:
The learner completes 5 online modules, each consisting of 2-3 activities. This can be completed within 1 academic year with the option to roll over to the following academic year if not completed during the specified timeline.
