The Gerdin Leaders Academy badge provides the foundational understanding and opportunity to develop key skills within business leadership and is awarded to students who have successfully completed a five-part pathway exploring various aspects of leadership.
Assignment and Assessment:
Within each of the five leadership pillars of Ethics, Cultures and Communities, Leadership, Professional Development, and Service to Community, students have successfully completed the following:
Students must participate in a minimum of two activities from the recommended list provided and approved by the Ivy College of Business Undergraduate Career Services office within each of the five core areas (10 total activities)
Submit a 1-pg comprehensive reflection for each activity to be evaluated by a business career services professional and earn a passing score.

The Gerdin Leaders Academy (GLA) is a program aimed at increasing the involvement of early program, transfer and/or international students in the Ivy College of Business led and managed through the Ivy College of Business Career Services office.
The GLA program is structured around five key pillars: Diversity & Global Perspective, Ethics, Leadership, Service to Community, and Professional Development. These pillars are closely aligned with the 8 NACE Career Readiness Competency Standards: Career & Self-Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, and Technology.
