CALS Innovation + Leadership Program

This digital badge is designed to provide a basic understanding of undergraduate research and how individuals leverage their strengths to conduct basic scientific research or laboratory experiments, specifically in agriculture and life sciences. The “Career Pathways: Scientific Research” digital badge consists of the completion of guided reflection on research skill development, the Pathway Planner, and a mock interview with a career services advisor.

This digital badge is designed to provide a basic understanding of communication and how individuals leverage their strengths to convey meaning using effective communication skills, specifically in agriculture and life sciences. The “Career Pathways: Communication” digital badge consists of the completion of guided reflection on communication skill development, the Pathway Planner, and a mock interview with a career services advisor.

This digital badge is designed to provide a basic understanding of professionalism and how individuals leverage their strengths in work habits and act in the interest of the larger community, specifically in agriculture and life sciences. The “Career Pathways: Professionalism” digital badge consists of the completion of a guided reflection on professional skill development, the Pathway Planner, and a mock interview with a career services advisor.

This digital badge is designed to provide a basic understanding of the ethical use of technology and how individuals leverage their strengths in technology to enhance efficiencies, complete tasks, and accomplish goals, specifically in agriculture and life sciences. The “Career Pathways: Technology” digital badge consists of the completion of guided reflection on the ethical use of technology, the Pathway Planner, and a mock interview with a career services advisor.

This digital badge is designed to provide an experiential learning opportunity to participants and help individuals leverage their personal strengths and skills in academic learning projects relevant to agriculture and life sciences. Creative experiential learning can include but is not limited to, science-art projects, design work, and creative self-projects.

The “Innovation + Leadership: Creative Impact” digital badge consists of the completion of one experiential learning experience, guided reflection on innovation and leadership competency development, the Pathway Planner, optional professional development workshops, and a final project presentation.

This digital badge is designed to provide an experiential learning opportunity to participants and help individuals leverage their personal strengths and skills in academic learning projects relevant to agriculture and life sciences. Service experiential learning can include but is not limited to, non-profit work, service learning, and volunteering.

The “Innovation + Leadership: Service Impact” digital badge consists of the completion of one experiential learning experience, guided reflection on innovation and leadership competency development, the Pathway Planner, optional professional development workshops, and a final project presentation.
